A new play by Heller Theatre Company's Playwright-in-Residence, Carlyn Flint, this tale is set in Kashmir, 800 CE and is a loose adaptation of an ancient spiritual text central to Kashmir Shaivism: The Vijnana Bhairava Tantra. Reva, a free spirit born into a rigid world, lives a life in search of answers. Why does hunger exist? Who are we meant to love? And how does form exist within the formless? The piece will include original songs by NYU professor Shruti Kumar and her students, live sound baths by Nicholas Ray Bradford, and plenty of puppetry.
